Must-Have Stationary Items That Will Change Your School year
Getting back into the swing of things as school starts again can be difficult, especially after a long break. If you’re going to get back to school and settle in smoothly, there are some stationery items you should consider preparing beforehand. The last thing you want is to be stuck with just a pencil or have to borrow all of your equipment from the Teacher or those sitting next to you. It not only limits what you can do, but it’s much more disruptive than it needs to be – so it’s better to properly prepare yourself.
A pencil and eraser
While many pencils come with erasers already on them, you should make sure you’re getting good quality pencils. You don’t want something that’s going to break easily or shatter from the inside without any kind of pressure. A good pencil is good for any student, any age, any education. Without a pencil, there’s not a lot you’re going to be able to do.
On top of the pencil, you should make sure you’ve got a good eraser and pencil sharpener to match. Pencils don’t last forever, but they’re worth spending a little extra on if you can get one that doesn’t break easily.
A quality ballpoint pen
Learning isn’t much use if you’re not taking notes, and taking a lot of notes can help to propel your education even further. Listening in class can be difficult, and actually remembering all of the information you’ve been told is even harder. If your pen lets you down and you don’t have enough time to copy down all of the notes, that could be marks that you’re losing on your exams. Investing in some quality ballpoint pens can save you the hassle of losing valuable information.
Better yet, get a few different colours so you can lay your notes out in a way that’s more comprehensive to you. It helps to go the extra mile with your notes, and you’ll be thanking yourself when it’s time to revise and study.
A notebook
Just in case you’re not provided one during class, a notebook is a great addition to your stationery. If you’re taking a lot of notes with your ballpoint pen, you’ll want somewhere to keep all of that information. Not only that, but a notebook is a good place for you to write what you want, and how you want to. You can doodle if it helps you to focus or take breaks from too much learning – and you won’t have to worry about damaging property that’s not yours.
Highlighters
Having different colour pens is great, but it can be even more helpful if you make use of a set of highlighters. You can use these to highlight any key information that you want to come back to later, and it will make your study sessions much quicker and more efficient. They’re not as important as the pens themselves, but these markers are a great addition to anyone’s notes.
